Linda Jackson, Fraser Valley Telus Club Community Ambassador, made a recent visit to the Delta Hospice Society to present a cheque for $56,526.

“Telus believes in the importance of community and we are pleased to double match donations made to the Delta Hospice Society through the Team Telus Charitable Giving program for the next three years,” said Jill Schnarr, vice president of Community Affairs at Telus. “Through this program, team members and retirees donate to their charities of choice. We know that Telus team members are proud to support important community health care projects that benefit the communities where they live, work and serve.”

The Delta Hospice Society has been a beneficiary of Telus’ Employee and Retiree Charitable Giving Program for the past 10 years. This program will benefit the society even further in 2011-2013 where Telus has made a commitment to double match all donations made to Delta Hospice through this corporate program.

“We would like to thank all of the current and past employees of Telus who have chosen Delta Hospice to benefit from their charitable giving”, says Nancy Macey, executive director of the Delta Hospice Society.  “The corporate matching program increases the value of the individual gifts significantly.”
