Surrey businesses honoured

The best in the Surrey business community was honoured last night (Thursday) at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel.

The Surrey Board of Trade recognized eight winners of the Surrey Business Excellence Awards in an Academy Awards-style dinner attended by more than 400 people during an evening emceed by CKNW's Simi Sara.

Award winners are:

• Witty Cookie (Student Entrepreneur of the Year)

• Dale’s Alignment and Brake Service Ltd. (Business Excellence, 1-10 employees)

• Reliance Foundry Co. Ltd. (Business Excellence, 11-40 employees)

• Aggressive Tube Bending Inc. (Business Excellence, 41-plus employees)

• All Care Medical Centre (New Business of the Year)

• Surrey Urban Mission (Not-for-profit - budget under $500,000)

• Fraser Valley Real Estate Board (Not-for-profit, budget over $500,000)

• Jason Zanatta (Business Person of the Year)
