May was declared as Child Care month by the province of British Columbia. During this month the community celebrated the hard work and dedication of child care providers and early childhood educators in B.C. These individuals provide some of the most important work in our community: promoting the healthy growth and development of the next generation.

Last month  Child Care Options Resource and Referral Program, a program of Options, held a Child Care Appreciation Evening to honour these individuals.

With the help of local businesses, Lucky Bola, owner of Xcess Contracting, and his father Avtar Bola provided an Indian dinner for all in attendance.

GlamSquad604 provided make-up services, with Mary Kay providing hand and facial treatments and Forever Yours Lingerie items.
