Surrey’s Mountainview Montessori School was honoured by a visit from great horned owl Betty and OWL Society Educator Sue Davies on Tuesday.

The visit was the school’s prize for winning the City of Surrey’s contest to name its new kids’ mascot, Blazer the Eaglet. Mountainview’s submission was chosen from 100 submitted names, five of which were randomly chosen and voted on by children 12 and under.
