Canadian Blood Services is urging Surrey residents to rally together to support hospital patients in need this week at the Surrey Blood Donor Clinic.

Blood is needed every day at hospitals across Canada, even on long weekends.

“Life doesn’t stop for doctors, nurses, and especially patients, just because it’s a long weekend,” says Jeffrey O’Brien, partnership specialist at Canadian Blood Services.

Canadian Blood Services will give away two tickets for the BC Lions vs. Saskatchewan Roughriders game on Aug. 5. Donors must visit the clinic this week to enter the draw.
