New Year's Eve happenings
• The 45+ Singles New Year’s Eve Dance takes place Dec. 31 at Star of the Sea Hall, 15262 Pacific Ave., White Rock. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner is at 6:30 p.m.
The Grand Star Band plays from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets are $65 for dinner/dance or $55 for dancing only (8 p.m. on). Tickets are $10 off if you book before Dec. 21.

• White Rock Elks are hosting a New Year’s Eve party at 1469 George St. Music by Fyne Tuned. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Bring pot luck finger food.
