Joining forces for rock & roll
Two service clubs have joined forces in musical style to raise funds for Delta’s youth.
Kiwanis Club of Ladner/Tsawwassen, which used to hold the event themselves, invited the Tsawwassen Boundary Bay Lions Club to join them in organizing the Classic Rock & Roll Revival Dinner Dance for April 28.
The event, held at KinVillage Community Centre (5430 10 Ave.), will include the tunes of classic rock and roll band TimeMachine.
The event will include a cash bar, silent auction and balloon prizes. Donated items – including a TV, bicycle and paintings – were donated by local businesses and artists.
Dinner will be a buffet provided by Urban Village Catering.
Doors open at 5:45 p.m.
Tickets are $45, and should be purchased several days in advance. Contact Larry Rossiter at 604-943-7239 or ross7239@telus.net or Brad Gaze at 604-940-0076 or bgaze@telus.net
All proceeds will go to community youth programs in Delta.
