Hundreds of new Simon Fraser University students joined in a drum café during a back-to-school orientation session at the Surrey campus Wednesday morning.

The event is meant to rid students of anxiety and get students geared up for school's start next week.

A similar session was planned at the Burnaby campus today (Thursday).
