This little light of mine
Olivia Bond-Hillman, 3, (above) checks out the lantern she decorated at a lantern-making workshop on Saturday at the North Delta Recreation Centre in preparation for Delta's first Luminary Festival, which takes place Sept. 15 from 6-10 p.m. at Sunstone Park, 10400 Delsom Cr.
It's an evening full of family fun, including lantern-making, busker entertainment, food vendors and crafts from 6-9 p.m., a lantern-lit parade of lights around the pond at 8:30 p.m. and a concert in the park at 9 p.m.
As there is no parking lot on site, a free shuttle service will be available from the North Delta Recreation Centre beginning at 6 p.m.
In case of inclement weather, the festival will be held at the Sungod Recreation Centre.
