Six Terry Fox Runs in Surrey and Delta

Surrey and Delta are hosting the 32nd annual Terry Fox Run at five locations this Sunday, and a sixth for the following Tuesday:

• Bear Creek Park (13750 88 Ave.): Registration at 9 a.m., run start at 9 a.m. 10K, 5K and 1K runs. Suitable for bikes, wheelchairs and strollers. Dogs on leash welcome.

• Fraser Heights Recreation Centre (10588 160 St.): Registration at 11 a.m., run start at 12 noon. 10K, 5K and 2K runs. Suitable for bikes, wheelchairs, strollers and rollerblades. Dogs on leash welcome.

• South Surrey Athletic Park (at the Rotary Field House, 148 Street and 20 Avenue): Registration at 8 a.m., Run start at 9-9:30 a.m. 10K, 6K and 1.6K runs. Suitable for bikes, wheelchairs, strollers and rollerblades.

• Cloverdale Legion (17567 57 Ave.): Registration at 9 a.m., run start at 10 a.m. 10K, 5K and 1K runs. Suitable for bikes, wheelchairs, strollers and rollerblades. Dogs on leash welcome.

• Sungod Arena (112 Street and 78 Avenue, North Delta): Registration at 9 a.m., run start at 10 a.m. Suitable for bikes, wheelchairs, strollers and rollerblades. Dogs on leash welcome.

• On Tuesday, Sept. 18, SFU Surrey’s second-annual Terry Fox walk/run will start at the Central City Plaza entrance with a warm-up at 11:30 a.m., followed by a walk/run at Holland Park. Teams are encouraged to sign up at www.sfu.ca/terryfox/event/surrey.html

There is no minimum donation or admission for Terry Fox Runs.

To date, the Terry Fox Foundation has raised more than $600 million worldwide for cancer research in through annual Terry Fox Runs held across Canada and around the world.
