Tweet dreams for Surrey teacher
Late night Tweeting has earned Panorama Secondary School basketball coach Vishi Sood a vacation worth$10,000.
Cruising Twitter a few weeks ago, Sood came across a contest by Scotiabank to help launch the new Scotiabank Gold American Express Card asking Canadians, "With $10,000, where would you go and who would you take with you?"
Through a random draw, Sood was selected from more than 7,000 entries from across Canada.
"At first I wasn't sure if it was real or not," said a surprised Sood, a Kwantlen Polytechnic University student. "My dad was a little nervous... he was concerned about me giving out my personal information," Sood said laughing.
Now that he's won the big prize he plans to take his father back to India, a place the younger Sood has never been.
"I still can't believe it," he said, "I was surprised and shocked."
