YMCA basketball tourney raises funds for youth

The YMCA is hosting its inaugural "Bring it" 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament March 2-3. The public is invited to participate and help raise $3,333 for kids programs.

The YMCA Strong Kids Campaign ensures all children have equal access to active programs. All funds from the tourney will go directly to children, youth and families whose financial obstacles prevent them from enjoying a YMCA experience.

The event takes place Saturday March 2 and Sunday, March 3 at Panorama Ridge Secondary School, 13220 64 Ave.

The format is round robin, three games guaranteed, plus a final game. Maximum five players per team, and teams must have matching jerseys/T-shirts.

Entry fee is $100 a team (kids) and $150 a team (adults). Divisions: Grades 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-12, and adult male and adult female.
