Jazz vespers kicks off at Surrey church

Singer and pianist Jennifer Scott performed with her band at the first of six jazz vespers at Northwood United Church on Feb. 12.

The church, located at 8855 156 St., is holding the 'Vespers in the Valley: Music for the Soul' events on the second and fourth Sunday of reach month until the end of April.

Upcoming performers are Don Stewart (Feb. 26), Karen Graves (March 11), Lorraine Foster (March 25), PK3 Jazz Trio Kristian Braathen (April 15) and Miles Black/Karen Graves (April 29).
