Board 'The Polar Express' by donation
Cloverdale’s historic movie house presents a special Friday afternoon screening of The Polar
Express, a modern Christmas classic.
It’s the Clova Cinema’s annual holiday kick off. Admission for the Dec. 21 presentation of the 2004 animated feature is by donation to the Clova’s Road to Digital fund. The movie starts at 4 p.m.
The Polar Express is directed by Robert Zemeckis and features the voice of Tom Hanks.
It’s an animated story of how a boy’s faith in the wonder of life is rewarded one Christmas Eve when a magical steam train pulls up outside his house and takes him on a mysterious, thrilling journey to the North Pole – home of Santa’s Workshop.
It’s adapted from an illustrated children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg and is breathtaking on the big screen, like a storybook brought to life.
It’s rated PG and may frighten young children.
