Surrey’s Jerrica Santos has been selected among the top 10 finalists in Variety’s Got Talent 2013.

Santos, 25, was chosen from 327 hopefuls from around B.C. by music professionals. She will now compete at the River Rock Show Theatre this weekend (Feb. 9). The winner will be announced at the end of the show and will appear on the Variety Show of Hearts Telethon on Feb. 16-17.

Santos is an R&B recording artist, singer and songwriter who is also a classically trained pianist and professional Polynesian dancer. She made headlines in 2004 when she was a top 32 finalist on Canadian Idol, and in 2011 represented Canada at the World Karaoke Championships in Ireland where she was second runner-up.
