Surrey students get jazzed up

Above, bassist Cole Marton, guitarist Liam Oakes and saxophone player Scott Jang perform with the Semiahmoo Secondary Grade 11 Combo A jazz band at the 32nd-annual Envision Financial Jazz Festival at the Bell Performing Arts Centre on Feb. 22.

The two-day festival began Feb. 21 and featured more than 2,000 jazz music students from 28 regional high schools.

Below is Panorama Ridge Secondary Grade 11 student Sahaj Claire, playing the trombone with his school's Clairvoyance senior instrument combo.
