African musical comes to Surrey

African Stages of B.C. is hosting Izabobo: An African Musical on March 15 at 7:30 p.m. and March 16 at 2 p.m. at the Surrey Arts Centre main stage, 13750 88 Ave.

The show will keep audiences fascinated with African rhythms, dance, drama, and African instruments and song to convey ancient philosophies.

Izabobo’s major theme is celebration of life.

Its colourful celebration is hardly tamed even in the conflict faced by a village girl struggling between the traditional (village) life style and the city.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for those aged 6-15.
