Celebrating women
The 2012 Shakti Awards Dinner and Dance Gala was held last week at the Bollywood Banquet Hall.
The event was held in honor of International Women’s Day to recognize and celebrate women.
The award recipients were:
• Academic Achievement – Gurkiran Mann
• Business and Entrepreneur – Ramen Saggu
• Artistic Achievement – Farah Hasan
• Public Service - Caroline Macgillivray
• Sports Achievement – Pretty Verma
• Honorary Awards – Madhuri Anand and Anu Pala
