Daffodils for life
Melissa Muirhead, Miss Lower Mainland, gets help from New Beginnings relay for life team members Annie Temreck, Martha Black and Nan Dignall, dressed as daffodils to kick off Daffodil Day at Surrey City Hall Friday, in remembrance of those who have been lost to cancer or are currently fighting the disease.
The volunteers delivered daffodils to city counsellors and flower pins are available by donation at local businesses with contributions benefiting the B.C. Cancer Society.
