On April 20, the Delta School District hosted the West Coast Family Gathering at North Delta Secondary School.

The District is proud to host community events such as this that honour students and families with Aboriginal ancestry. This family celebration day included powwow dancing, cultural workshops, traditional food, west coast dancing, community booths, and more.

The event was an opportunity to celebrate and showcase Aboriginal culture from many different nations across Canada and to bring awareness and exposure of Aboriginal culture to Delta’s own multicultural community.
