She ain't afraid of no ghost towns.

Laura Cuthbert of Kudoz is coming to Surrey to share her knowledge of abandoned settlements in the province.

The presentation BC Ghost Towns takes place Jan. 18 from 6-8:30 p.m. in room #418 at the Surrey City Centre Library, 10350 University Dr.

Cuthbert has explored into B.C. abandoned towns for as long as she can remember, but eight years ago, she started properly documenting her time.

She'll share the bizarre history of the ghost towns using anecdotes and historical documentation, and touch upon the environmentalism and preservation efforts around some of the back-road spots.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event is free for everyone.
