One of two men charged in connection with the 2007 death of Surrey's Michael Gerald Larsen is expected to enter a guilty plea at the end of the month.

Darryl Karl Cole was arrested in November 2008, along with Joshua Steven Holl. Both were charged with first-degree murder and two counts each of conspiracy to commit murder.

Cole is scheduled in New Westminster Supreme Court on Feb. 28.

Larsen, 37, was found dead inside a home in the 15600 block of 48 Avenue on Dec. 1, 2007. According to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT), he was a resident of the home and was "not recently known to police."

Police uncovered an indoor marijuana grow operation on the property and investigators at the time said they were unable to establish if the murder was connected to gangs, organized crime or if it was "definitively" linked to the drug trade.
