Man surfed on taxi hood for 11 blocks
A Delta Police officer was at 84 Avenue and Scott Road last Wednesday when he saw a taxi go by with a man on the hood of the car.
The officer stopped the cab and learned the strange story that led to the taxi-surfing man.
Some time earlier, the cab driver and a body shop employee got into a "heated, civil dispute" over body work done to the cab.
During the argument, the cab driver left in his cab.
The body shop employee began to smash the front window, then jumped on the hood of the vehicle.
The cab travelled 11 blocks with the man on the hood.
The driver has since been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
The other man was charged with uttering threats and mischief.
The file is still under investigation.
