A man is dead after a car crash this week.

Just after midnight on Thursday, police believe a van was heading west on 76 Avenue near 128 Street, when it struck another car.

The car it struck careened across the intersection and slammed into a lamp standard.

The man in the car, believed to be in his early 20s, was taken to hospital, but succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation continues.
