Man stabbed in North Surrey
A man in his 20s was stabbed multiple times and pepper sprayed and is now in critical condition.
Police were called to the Front Room Drop In Centre, in the 10600-block 135A Street, after the man made his way into the centre seeking help.
It's believed he was stabbed in an apartment building about a quarter block away from the Front Room.
"He had suffered several stab wounds to the abdomen and chest area," said Surrey RCMP Cpl. Drew Grainger. "We're still trying to ascertain the exact crime scene, but we have the whole area in a lock down pattern."
Several people at the scene were detained with an abundance of caution, as police didn't know whether they were witnesses or suspects, Grainger said,
The victim in currently under surgery in critical condition.
