A 27-year-old Surrey man is nursing a bullet wound to the stomach after being shot in North Surrey this week.

At 9:30 Wednesday night, shots rang out in the parking lot of the Safeway at 104 Avenue and King George Boulevard in what police are calling a targeted shooting.

The 27-year-old man was struck in the abdomen, the bullet passing right through him. He is recovering from his injuries, but is not being cooperative with investigators.

The victim is known to police.

Anyone who was in the area who can help identify the gunman, please call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
