Date set for murder trial
The second-degree murder trial of a man accused in the November 2005 death of Lisa Cubin is set to proceed in September.
B.C. Supreme Court officials in New Westminster said Friday evidence in the case against Bradley John Benham will be heard over 19 days starting Sept. 2. Prior to that, a pre-trial conference has been set for July 23; jury selection is booked for Aug. 25.
Benham was arrested in connection with Cubin’s death last July, 21 months after the 35-year-old mother of one was found dead in the 18319 20 Ave. home she shared with Benham and their young daughter.
