Say goodbye to the RCMP's 'Re-Sergeance Alliance' blog
A blog called "Re-Sergeance Alliance" – which claimed it was made up of over 500 members of the RCMP's E Division – has been removed from its host site on Blogger, in the same week it announced itself to Canadian media.
The blog had been viewed as an airing forum for disgruntled members of the force, who were posting to is using anonymity. News 1130 said it was restoring the public's faith in the RCMP, while the National Post said it was launched by two officers who had been sending critical letters to RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson.
"Our Alliance is slowly now moving across the nation," the blog had said. "So those of you whom our leadership has 'Handled' for so many years, our so-called orchards of 'Bad Apples,' we simply state your time has arrived and your corruption is about to see the light and justice of your fellow Canadians."
Commissioner Paulson received a lot of the website's brunt. He was appointed in November, and was tasked with cleaning up or reforming parts of the RCMP.
