Wanted: Your ideas for North Delta

A Public Ideas Fair with a focus on the North Delta Area Plan will take place on Wednesday (Sept. 19) at Sungod Recreation Centre, 7815 112 St.

The Ideas Fair will will be a drop-in event from 5-9 p.m.

The Ideas Fair will include several interactive community stations to garner feedback on the draft goals and strategies that have been developed based on the public input received this summer from the online survey, youth photography and poster contest, citizen circles and a traveling roadshow at Delta-sponsored outdoor events.

Comment forms will also be available and information on the Area Plan process will be provided with Delta staff on hand to answer questions.

“We are extremely grateful for all the feedback we have received so far and hope to see a good turnout at the Ideas Fair to hear from the public on whether we are on the right track before we move on to drafting the new Area Plan,” said Delta Mayor Lois Jackson.

“This event is unique and includes plenty of interactive stations for citizens to share their ideas."

The feedback received from the Ideas Fair will be used to formulate the draft Area Plan, due out at the end of the year.

A public open house will be held in November along with a second online survey to obtain feedback on the draft Area Plan.
