Man dies in truck repair shop accident
A man is dead after being crushed by a truck he was working on at a North Surrey truck and trailer repair shop.
At about 8 p.m., Monday, the man, who has not been named, was working on what's believed to have been a diesel truck at Modern Diesel Truck and Trailer Repair Ltd. at 10307 121 St. in Surrey.
Somehow the jacks holding the truck up gave way sending the truck down on the man working underneath.
WorksafeBC has launched an investigation.
"Fatality investigations generally take months," said WorksafeBC spokesperson Donna Freeman. "It depends on the complexity. It is not known at this point whether this is something that cause will be determined quickly, or whether it will be more complex."
The investigation continues.
