Surrey woman found badly beaten

A woman is in critical condition after being beaten in Whalley on Sunday.

Police found the 43-year-old Surrey woman at 135 Street and 106 Avenue at 1 p.m. on Sunday, partially clothed and badly beaten.

She was unconscious.

She is currently in hospital in stable, but critical condition.

Police are calling the beating an isolated incident and say the general public has nothing to worry about. They are also investigating the possibility she may have been sexually assaulted.

Police are also calling on anyone who witnessed anything unusual in that area during that time to call 604-599-0502.
