Two injured in 'serious' South Surrey crash
Two people were transported to hospital with serious injuries Wednesday morning, following a crash at 24 Avenue and 176 Street.
Police say the collision between a four-door sedan and a semi occurred around 7:45 a.m.
At the scene, damage to the semi's front passenger side was visible. The car had significant damage to its passenger side. Impact of the collision sent it into a traffic light in the intersection's northeast corner.
The victims were taken to Royal Columbian Hospital.
Traffic is being diverted around the intersection – 24 Avenue is closed between 168 and 180 Streets; 176 is closed north of 20 Avenue and south of 26 Avenue.
Investigation is ongoing.
