Surrey men nabbed by Coquitlam's prolific target team
Coquitlam RCMP's Prolific Target Team members arrested two Surrey men earlier this month on multiple theft and weapons charges.
The arrests were the result of the detachment's crime-reduction strategy, which has officers proactively pursuing the top 20% of the most active criminals who Mounties say are responsible for 80% of the crime.
On Feb. 13, investigators arrested 25-year-old Corey Todd Siebolts on two outstanding arrest warrants; he also had several outstanding out-of-province arrest warrants.
In addition to the warrants, Siebolts is facing a number of charges, including: eight counts of possession of stolen or forged identification or credit cards; four counts of breach of recognizance; two counts of identity theft; and one count of possession of stolen property.
On Feb. 6, investigators arrested David Edward Traill, 51, who is facing charges of theft of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon, breach of an undertaking and driving while suspended.
Both men are in custody until their next court appearances later this month.
