Police seeking Surrey home invasion suspect

Surrey RCMP are looking for a man suspected in an interrupted home break-in on Wednesday (July 30).

A man allegedly entered a house near 145 Street and 76 Avenue between 4:30 and 5:30 a.m. He was confronted by a resident, from whom he demanded money and jewelry.

After getting some money, he left and was last seen running on 76 Avenue.

He is described as a black male in his early 20s, about 5'6" tall with a medium build. At the time, he was wearing red and white Adidas pants and a black hoodie.

Police also believe an unknown woman who was walking along 76 Avenue at the time might have seen the suspect.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS to remain anonymous.
