Surrey Mounties are investigating a suspicious death after a woman's body was found inside a home in North Surrey.

RCMP say they were called to a home in the 14300-block of 115 Avenue at about 9:45 p.m. on Monday.

Police say the homeowner found the 41-year-old woman dead in the home, adding there was no obvious cause of death at the scene.

After some investigation, it was determined the death was sudden and suspicious and the coroner was called in to investigate.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has not yet been called in to investigate, but it may be if the death is determined to be a murder.

More details to come as they become known.
