A fire at an abandoned home in Newton caught fire Thursday (Jan. 16) morning in what investigators are classifying as a suspicious blaze.

At 1 a.m., a home at 6832 134 St. in Surrey caught fire.

Police say the home is known to them for drug activity and the previous tenants had been evicted.

No one was hurt in the fire, which remains under investigation.
