Five arrested after Surrey gunplay

Five men have been taken into custody after several shots were fired into an empty car in Newton this week.

On Tuesday night, at about 10:30, police were called to a report of shots fired in the 7500-block 144 Street.

After patrolling the area, police found a Black Jetta with five people inside, who were believed to be responsible for the gunfire.

They were taken into custody, and charges are being considered.
