Three people have been charged in relation to two separate violent sex assaults more than year ago.

On April 17, a total of 17 charges were laid against three men, including Simranpreet Singh Dhillon, Sukhraj Singh Chahal and Gurjinder Sodha.

In both sex attacks, the victims were sex trade workers who were picked up by two men who were unknown to them.

The first attack was on Aug. 12, 2012, when a woman was picked up near King George Boulevard and 91 Avenue. She was  driven to a secluded area of Colebrook Road and was violently assaulted.

The suspects charged in that attack were Dhillon and Chahal.

Then on Oct. 18, 2012, another woman was picked up near King George Boulevard and 105 Avenue. She was also taken to a secluded area of Colebrook Road, near 128 Street, where she was also physically and sexually assaulted.

Dhillon and Sodha were charged in that incident.

Dhillon faces two counts of sexual assault with a weapon, two counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose to commit and offence, two counts of uttering threats to cause bodily harm, two counts of robbery and aggravated assault.

Chahal has been charged with sexual assault with a weapon, unlawful confinement and robbery.

Sodha has been charged with sexual assault with a weapon, unlawful confinement and robbery.

Investigators are concerned that there may be more victims who have yet to speak with police.

As a result, the Surrey RCMP is appealing for potential victims or witnesses to come forward. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP Child Abuse and Sexual Offence  Unit at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
