Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by car in Surrey

A man was struck by a car in Surrey Monday afternoon (June 2) and rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

A dark-coloured Acura was driving south on 128 Street near 83 Avenue when it allegedly hit the man, who was reportedly crossing the street. The accident occurred at about 2 p.m.

A witness said the victim was not in a crosswalk.

The stretch of 128 Street between 82 and 84 Avenue was closed Monday mid-afternoon while police investigated.
