The Surrey RCMP say the body found in the Fraser River near the Pattullo Bridge Tuesday has now been recovered and officers are working with the B.C. Coroner Service to identify the victim.

The body was discovered at about noon June 17.

The cause of death has not been confirmed, but police say it does not appear it is suspicious.

No further details are available at this time.
