Great show at Guildford

Yes, The Greatest Show On Earth... a slight exaggeration perhaps, but hats off to Surrey Parks and Rec, which sponsored a great show at Guildford Town Centre on Saturday (Oct. 20).

It was an opportunity for local groups to demonstrate their “Active Living” activities on Saturday. It was a great pleasure to watch the youth of Surrey exhibiting skills in rhythmic acrobatics to music and ladies’ belly dancing, all very popular with the crowd.

The Vancouver Area Cycling coalition participated by providing Surrey cycling maps and discussing cycling routes as they exist now and as we hope they will be expanded in future. If you are interested in further information, we meet the first Tuesday of the month, 7-9 p.m. at Newton Seniors’ Centre, 13775 70 Ave.
