Grocery store goodness

LETTERS____Renee___Lyle_Gregersen_080201.jpg

I thought it was important to let everyone know that there are still people who put someone else before themselves.

My husband and I were at the grocery store recently and unfortunately, our debit card was not completing the transaction.

We tried the Interac machine but still it did not go through.

A gentleman standing in line behind us offered to pay for our groceries.

I kindly refused his offer and was ready to put the groceries back but he calmly paid without hesitating.

I offered to take his address so that we could repay him when we got to a bank but he gave us his business card and told us to call him.

I just wanted to say thank you, to Randy, for being so kind-hearted and thoughtful.

I not only have his money to repay him but freshly baked cookies as well.

Most importantly, my husband and I have a wonderful story and a reminder that helping others goes a long way.
