There are other reasons to stop abortion
The recent publicity over gender selection generated by the murder of a two-year-old girl in North Delta has understandably raised the question of gender selection by abortion.
One television station sent reporters to a Washington state abortion clinic which they believe provides abortion services for this purpose.
The question that comes to mind is why is there approval in our society of abortion for every other reason except gender selection?
It seems very clear that we, as a society, are hypocritical when we condemn abortion for the reason of gender selection while we approve of it for any number of other reasons, such as inconvenience to the mother’s plans for education or career.
Abortion of human life is wrong for any reason except perhaps in the very rare case when the mother’s own life is clearly at risk.
