Spread the learning

Re: “School move puts ‘vulnerable’ students at risk, say teens.”

There are two learning  centres in Newton. There is a strong need to bring the North Surrey Learning Centre back to North Surrey for the many students that live in this area.

For years it has been a struggle to get vulnerable students to this specialized program. So moving the Discovery School students from their school in North Surrey and upsetting this wonderful program is not helping the teens in North Surrey.

Why are they moving the Newton Learning Centre out of Newton? There should be a learning centre in each of the four areas of Surrey.

Parents and teens should speak up and make sure the students are getting what they need to learn and to be fully involved in the world and their community.
