Bully app misguided
Re: The province’s anti-bullying plan that includes a whistle-blowing phone app.
The idea sounds great, but anonymous reports create a great danger – how is a teacher or administrator going to investigate based on some phone app report?
Also, the old rhetoric with no proof that “gay and lesbian students are more likely to be bullied and commit suicide” continues to be reported as fact.
Beware of anonymous reports, especially with kids who notably have cliques. Set-ups are a real possibility here.
