Happy to call Surrey home
I would like to thank Don Mercer of Surrey (“Good luck finding serenity now,” Leader letters, Aug. 28) for speaking out about J. Reichert’s comment (Goodbye Surrey, so long,” Leader letters, Aug. 21).
I agree with Don. I have lived in Surrey for seven years. I love my community. If you want to leave Surrey, leave. Don’t trash the place.
Over the river it is just as bad. There was a shooting there a couple of weeks ago. I would think before you talk bad. Surrey is my home and I am happy to live here with my husband and my son in our own home.
No matter where you live in the world, life happens. Are you going to trash the place where you are now if you decide to move from there?
