Lawn ‘snake’ solves watering dilemma

Re: “Lawn watering now only for the elite,” The Leader, Letters, Sept. 6.

You do not need an expensive self-watering system to water your lawn. You can get a hose that is blocked at one end, but has holes along it. They come in 50-foot and 100-foot lengths. Simply attach this to the faucet, lay it on the lawn like a snake, and the whole lawn can be watered in about an hour.

Yes, you have to wake up early once a week, but so what? And no, you don’t have to be elite to water your lawn.
