A home for the holidays?

“Re: No place to call home for the holidays (Oct. 16).

The Surrey Christmas Bureau is looking for space for distribution of and collection for families in need for the Christmas holidays.

I have the perfect solution for them. On 104 Avenue is that large empty building that was supposed to be the Asian centre. This building has been sitting idle for quite a few years now. Nobody seems to know what the problem was, or is, with the vacant space.

It is kind of central and has tons of space for the Christmas Bureau’s needs. May as well do something with it that can benefit the needy, if only temporarily. Might get the ball rolling on making some sort of use of it, as it is a shame that nothing has been done with it for years.
