Driver danger

To the driver who gave me the finger: I didn’t honk at you because you were on your phone, I honked because you were weaving from lane to lane without even knowing it. I thought you were falling asleep, or having a medical emergency.

Several drivers swerved to miss you, while others braked to avoid you. You were so involved with your phone, you didn’t even notice us.

I hope you made it home safely – without killing anyone or being killed.

Will you be so lucky next time?

Jerry Steinberg, Surrey
