In addition to winning a BC Hockey Midget Tier 1 championship last week in Nanaimo, the Surrey Thunder also earned the Most Sportsmanlike Team award.

Surrey edged the Cloverdale Colts 4-3 in the championship game. Brendan Wilde and Scott McHaffie each scored twice for Surrey.
